Charles Brown, the owner of Charlotte Remodeling Company, has been in the residential remodeling industry since 1978 and a licensed NC contractor since 1994. Being a North Carolina natives, we are familiar with all the different types of building products used in Charlotte homes built in the 30s, all the up to new homes being built today. We strive to complete each renovation to the best of our ability and with complete customer satisfaction.
Once you have scheduled an appointment, we will schedule a day and time to come out to your property, measure the areas to be renovated, take plenty of pictures, and discuss your project. Usually, at this time, we can determine if an architect or designer is needed to help you visualize the finished product. Please note, if you are adding to the exterior of your home, architectural plans will be required to obtain a building permit and be reviewed by zoning for setback distances. Once all the design work is completed and in place, we will submit a detailed start-to-finish estimate to complete your project. To proceed, we will require a signed contract with a deposit to establish a start date. After the contract is signed, we will send you contact information for the vendors that we have been working with for years. You will need to make appointments to begin the material and fixture selections. We like to make sure the critical selections are in stock or in route before we start your renovation. If you have vendors that you have worked with in the past, we would always be open to working with new vendors once the project is underway; we will submit invoice draws after certain phases have been completed. Once the project is completed, we will address a punch list if needed, and then the final payment will be submitted with material and fixture allowances totaled.
